One chord, several names

The same notes can have several names: the note in the bass decides. When the bass isn’t the root, the chord is written with a slash followed by the bass note: an inversion or slash chord.

Using the mic

Strum the chord and let it ring near the mic, somewhere quiet. The analysis recognises common chords (major, minor, sevenths, sus, diminished, augmented, power chords); the sound is analysed on your device and never recorded.
