Scales on bass
On bass, scales are mostly for building lines: connecting chord roots with passing notes, or moving around a chord with its arpeggios.
The minor pentatonic and the blues scale are the most played in rock, funk and blues; the Dorian and Mixolydian modes bring funk and jazz grooves to life.
